I'm miserable and want to cry - wish I could take an advil!

Hey Mama's-
Just a random pout - hopefully someone else here can relate!
I am allergic to tylenol - the only safe pain relief in pregnancy.
I have a REALLY bad sore throat, my ears are killing me, my
sinus hurt and my back feels like it has a knife in it -
it's just a nasty cold I got from my kids but I am SO jealous.
They are all resting, snuggled in bed, with a dose of medicine
for those who needed one - while I can't sleep because of the
pain and just want to cry...
Just a few more weeks...just a few more weeks...

Thanks I am trying not to think about feeling sick - some DS time while
everyone is asleep is taking my mind off it at least

Have you asked your dr (maybe call) about taking a small dose of aspirin? When prego with DS I had to take aspirin from about 17 weeks because of Pre E. if its safe for that maybe a dose to help ease the pain will be alright.

maybe you can look into some natural remedies? I only use homeopathy or herbs, etc, never OTC, pregnant or not and find lots of relief!

neti pot (sinuses)
steam/hot wet compress (sinuses)
honey and lemon (throat and cough)
elderberry syrup (cough and immune system)
apple cidere vinegar or salt water (gargle for throat)
garlic or muellin oil (for your ears)

I'm so sorry.

Even when it's a pain a bath can't touch, a warm bath always helps me feel a little better.

i was going to suggest some of those things.

Also, if your ears are hurting, i know there are some ear numbing drops that my sons takes for ear infections...perhaps call and ask your doc if something like that would be ok to take?

I know ludens cough drops are safe to use also, and the neti pot..seriously...i thought it was gross at first but it is awesome!! (just use bottled water, not tap!)
