stain removal tips?

I've sunned ALL day - twice and there are still stains. These diapers are for sale so I'd really like to get the stains out if I can. People swear by sunning but I don't know - I'm not seeing results. Any suggestions?

Re: stain removal tips?

Maybe try spraying a little Bac Out on them while wet and washing them. That might help.

Re: stain removal tips?

I can't find Bac Out around here.

Could I use regular laundry stain remover?

Re: stain removal tips?

My mega stain removal: $1 bottles of lemon juice from the dollar store 32oz. I get them damp from that (or diluted with half water for inserts/prefolds) and sun them all day long. That takes care of most of the stains.

You can do a hot cycle with a big scoop of oxiclean, but i haven't been all that impressed. With some experimental inserts I tried soaking them in bleach water, and some others with oxiclean & vinegar. Those definitely looked much better, but I wouldn't soak actual diapers in it. I also sprayed bac-out on some and did a wash cycle - that helped a little.

For some stubborn stain removals I got some good suggestions before:

Soak in oxiclean and HOT water overnight, wash normally, then hang in the sun again. Spray stubborn spots with lemon juice while still damp. Wash again after sunning.

This is what I do, minus the lemon juice. A super hot oxyclean soak overnight, followed by a sunning has always removed stains in my diapers.

I've found soaking my diapers in Yoreganics Brightens and Whitens almost always does the trick.

Re: stain removal tips?

Thanks for all the tips! I don't have any oxy here because it makes my kids both break out in full body rash but I know I can get some. I do have lemon juice, though maybe not a big enough bottle!
