Re: Anyone else with Oversupply issues?
I have more of an issue with over-active let-down, but I've been doing the block feedings with pretty good success. The other thing I do is unlatch her when I get that first big let-down and let the forceful spray release itself (into a prefold--takes about10-30sec for me) before I let her back on. She's much happier with this even if she gets impatient waiting b/c otherwise she chokes and gets really unhappy. The block feeding feels kind of counter-productive b/c you get engorged and then when you switch sides there is really an issue for you LO with too much milk. . .but I do think it has helped. I've been doing it for two weeks or so now.

Re: Anyone else with Oversupply issues?
I had extreme oversupply issues for the first 9 weeks after my daughter was born. I tried everything: pumping, not pumping, block nursing, etc. and nothing worked at all. I was constantly getting engorged. At 9 weeks, knowing my supply was established, I tried peppermint tea on the advice of my lactation consultant. She said not to try it before 8 weeks. I dontthink it was the tea, because I only had one mug, but my supply regulated , more or less the next day. I really think I just takes time, so do whatever it takes to get through those 6-8 weeks. I wish I had pumped more, I thought it would increase my supply so I would pump just until I was not in pain...next time I m pumping for comfort as needed!
