But if the baby is measuring at 8 plus 2 last week, that would then match with teh rmeaining time for a 28th due date right?

How would I know how far along I am. Am I going on 10 weeks or am I only 8.

You know what, I didn't catch that...yep, it sure would! I would go with baby's measurements...they are the best at this early stage when unsure of dates. I would say Oct 28th!

If it were me, I wouldn't stress out too much over a week. My "super accurate" dating ultrasounds always measure my big babies big. I just can't believe that genetics don't play a small role in the size of a babies femur or head at just 8 weeks and since my husband is super tall they always date ahead of where we actually are. Then my babies come 1 week "late" but right on time according to conception date.
For example: this baby was conceived on October 22nd, this puts my due date at July 14th. Based on my LMP it should be July 16th. Based on the u/s it is July 9th.
Really they come when they come and a due date is just a day. The baby can easily come 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after that date and still be full term.

Those dates are pretty close, I wouldn't worry. Early ultrasounds are USUALLY off by at least a few days to a week. I know the exact day I concieved this time and I'm always measuring about a week ahead.

Just a fun FYI - with DS my LMP was January 23rd. I was due Oct. 30th and had him Oct. 12th

My dd is off by 5 days, I am fine with it since I know baby will come when it is ready - this also means I have longer before we have to start to consider induction.
