Uterine spasms!!

I've been having uterine spasms like crazy, always twice at a time within a minute and a few times a day!! This is my fourth pregnancy and have never experienced this with any of my others!! It's almost like the baby is seizing!! Is anyone else experiencing this awkward, scary sensation??

Wife to Kevin; Mom to Skylar-9, Kacyn-3, Kyndle-2, and soon to meet Tryg- 6/22/12

YES! It's so weird...it's like, a really fast flutter or a partial belly twitch. I just figured it was the baby, but i suppose either is possible.

Re: Uterine spasms!!

I've had it before with my twin pregnancies. I'm only 12 wks now. So, not yet with this one. But, I know what you are talking about. It's nothing to worry about. Just something to annoy you.

Yes! It freaks me out. Kind of like they get hiccups. They are now stronger, so I'm guessing he is just doing some crazy gymnastics there, but lots of times it feels exactly like he seizes for a little bit then is still.

Yes!!!! So glad I'm not alone! I try to imagine what the heck baby is don't to feel "that"! Seizing feeling for sure. Did your doctor say that's what its called? I get them a few times a day, for like 30 seconds....weird!

Re: Uterine spasms!!

I got them with my last pregnancy, when it first happened I always looked for my cellphone on my belly thinking it was on vibrate. I was told not to worry when I asked about it, though they never told me what it really was.
