Re: 2yo Drinking from a cup problem-- what should I do?
Lid and straw or water bottle. Straws are actually beneficial to oral development. It is something I have heard several speech therapists recommend to parents whose children were behind in their speech.

I read that you start with milk or juice or whatever you drink. If he dumps, he gets water only for the rest of the day.
For us, I know my girl drinks great from a normal cup (she's 18months), until she's done. Then she dumps it. But she only gets water in a normal cup. Milk is in a straw cup.

Re: 2yo Drinking from a cup problem-- what should I do?
Thanks for the thoughts, I think I will probably try straw cups for awhile, at least for milk. I didn't know that they were better for oral development!
We tried the letting him spill cups in the tub thing, but then he ended up trying to drink the bathwater.
