Im going to cook a whole chicken today

I put olive oil, sea salt and fresh rosemary on the top. Butter it 20 minutes before it's done.

Throwing it in the crockpot or beer butt chicken are my fav! I make a seasoning mix(whatever flavor i want put its usually tonys, salt, peper, red peper flakes), then slide my hand around under tue skin rubbing the mix all over the meat. Then i either toss it in the crickpot for 6-8hrs or make it sit on a half full beer can(heat evaporates the alcohol) in a roasting pan. Eta-dont feel bad. I just started cooking whole chickens a few months ago. Im 31...

I do whole chickens just like the PP, my2sweets. I also have a clay pot that I cook whole chickens in and that's good, too.

I put mine in a 9x13 pan and season the inside with salt and pepper, I slice a lemon in half and a whole garlic clove in half and put those in the cavity. I put some olive oil over the top and sprinkle it with some coarse sea salt, pepper and garlic salt. I also put a half a cube of butter in the pan and use that to baste the chicken. I baste it about 4 times throughout the cooking process. I roast it on 450 degrees for about an hour and a half.

If I am baking it in the oven I mix olive oil and garlic salt and I brush it on the chicken with the skin on! I also sometimes slice holes under the skin and put slices of lemon under it! I always stud with half an onion, handful of carrots and a few sticks of chopped celery! Then bake at 375 for 2-3 hours

Lately I have been cooking it in the crock pot (a lot easier and it is so moist)! I skin the chicken (practically skins itself)! Then I take our favorite salad dressing (trader joes goddess) and rub about a cup all over the chicken and either cook it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours
