Re: Moms on kid #2 or more...name question

It's kind of a non-issue over here. We haven't named our kids until after the gender scan (with no backup "just in case" name in mind) and even the names on our short list we still consider for future babies. We chose Eden and Levi's names because they were the best names for those babies, not because we didn't like the others on our list.

Not really. We had Keona Grace as our girls name for our son and it never fit again. For our older 2 daughters we had Jackson Robert as the boys name but had to change it for this one since a close friend named thier son Jaxon. This little girl will be Reagan Elizabeth but our boy back up is Grayson Ezekial (which we both still love a lot!)

Re: Moms on kid #2 or more...name question

I had a *few* that made the list. I had Josiah on the list with ds1 but it wasn't a top name. I was pretty set on Isaac. Had he been a girl his name would have been Addalynn Raye. Since then...dh's cousins have had girls and named them Addison and Madilyn...so no way would I do Addalynn.

With ds2 our girl name was Evalynn which we will reuse if we ever have a girl. Josiah made the list again and was my top pick...but I named ds1 so dh had the final say on ds2 (our name list was names we both agreed on so he didn't get the FULL choice.)

Other than Josiah and Evalynn...I'm not sure any of the other names would make the list again though.

Our baby girl due in July will have the "leftover" name from our DS. It just seemed like our lives just needed a little Zoe Joy.

Re: Moms on kid #2 or more...name question

We never had a boy named picked out for DD since DH and I were both pretty convinced she would be a girl and she was! With these twins we decided to not really start working on names until we knew who we were naming as I didn't want to have to come up with so many possible sets of names! (BG, BB, GG) So I guess, we have never really had "official" boy names picked out, though I have thought about it! No need to think about it any more as I am done once these girls get here!

With YDS we had a girl name picked but not a boy name because we couldn't agree. We are team green this time and if we have a girl we will be using that name since DH loves it so much, I would have liked to pick a new one but DH is so happy he picked a good name that it would crush him, lol. But we didn't "save" the name I guess. We still don't have a boy name and none of the choices from last time are on the list for this baby.

Re: Moms on kid #2 or more...name question

DH and I have such a rough time agreeing on names, we'll probably reuse. Particularly girls names. We had it narrowed down to 2 for DD2 and we'd prob reuse the option if we have another girl. Seriously, girls names we don't agree at all. Boys, of which we currently don't have, we agree on great with names!! Of course we're currently team green soo.....

We don't reuse either (just happened that way, not purposeful), BUT one of our boys is named a name we "liked" with another child, it just never made the "top rung" of names, so to speak. This pregnancy, my husband still likes the girl names he had picked out last time, but I don't. Girl names are hard for us though. DH only likes maybe two, LOL. I guess we'd better have boys from here on out!

We're pretty sure were going to name our baby girl what DS would have been named if he were a girl, Ainsley. I don't know if I love it as much this time around (not sure if she feels like an Ainsley yet), but there are NO other possible names on the table. Girl names are hard.
