Earliest BFP after IVF?

You know you can still have two even if they only put in one. IVF babies are more likely to split, especially if you did assisted hatching. I've sure read about tons of Addie's who put in two but got three.

Psylion: I was actually really thinking I might have identicals when I saw my betas. We did ICSI and assisted hatching - both up your chances. But I've had like 5 ultrasounds at this point and no one has ever noticed a 2nd baby. ;-) Betas for identicals often don't start off high anyway bc they usually share a placenta. My friend had her transfer 1 day ahead of me and her beta at the same point as mine was only 40 while mine was 171. But she is having identical twins boys! I actually know of 4 sets of identical twins since I've started following various IVF threads lately. It's crazy!

Umm scary stuff. My OB basically said he recommend reducing if I got preggers with more than one given my history. I wouldn't, but would be terrified of preemies. Luckily we did regular IVF so hopefully that won't increase my chances much!

I am 13 dp3dt, so I would guess16dpo? My beta was 542!! Oh gosh

Sounds like a healthy bean you've got in there! :-) Sounds like it's in the same ranges mine was in (4 something at 15 dpo) - and don't worry - it's only 1.

I agree.

I had my beta 14dp5dt (hatching blasts transferred) and it was 1065 or something. Everyone thought that both embryos took but no, I just got a giant for a son!

My prior pregnancy was 14dp3dt and it was 465 or something and it was a singleton too (miscarried).

The first pregnancy had a beta 14dpIUI and was 185 (or close to that) and was triplets.

Beta's are meaningless for telling how many you have.

Thanks for the reassurance! I just can't believe it would splint into two anyhow (i get it, I just mean that I would experience that) and good to hear that my numbers are above average but others have had similar and had one. Thanks ladies!!
