Check your local craig's list and if you have a local parenting forum. I have gotten some great deals buying used locally. For prefolds I would go with new unless you absolutely hate prepping them or you find them for cheaper used. (They're heavy to ship so most of the time they're just as much used as they are new) I like my prefolds that I got from www.greenmountaindiapers.com. I've never tried them though. I think there are a few other brands that do sized prefolds. The standard sizing isn't horrible, they're just harder to fasten with a snappi and you'll always have to fold down some of the extra so they can be bulky.

For wool it really depends what you want. I've only ever purchased wool off the FSOT or off a local mom. I think I'll probably buy my disana soakers and non-custom knit items new next time around just so that I can felt the wetzone to my own liking.
