Omg that's awesome! DH was at a job interview when I found out I was pg with #1.... I called him right after he left and he was so excited that he had gotten the job he kept talking and talking and then said, "gotta call my mom, see you later!" :rollseyes: and then HUNG UP ON ME! I called him back right away and was like, "ummmm, I called you for a reason!". Lol! And as soon as I told him, he said the same thing and hung up on me again! Thank god he's no longer attached to those apron strings, but it was pretty funny and annoying all at the same time, lol!

With my first pregnancy i wanted dh's input on if it was pos so no surprise there! With the second, it was a busy day for dh so i just blurted it out before he got out if bed :/ i had great plans though! We always have lunch with dh on Weds so i was going to put ds in his brother tshirt for lunch.

Not sure what i will do with a future pregnancy. Love to see more ideas!

I also mailed one to my parents. My dad said ur was the coolest thing he had ever seen

I waited to test (again) until DH's birthday. He was in the shower, and I got a big, fat pink line right away! (I tested negative at 9 or 10DPO, and this was at 14DPO.) Anyhow, I wrote a note that said "Happy birthday Daddy!" and left the stick on top of it. Even though we were trying, he seemed very shocked. And happy!

With DS1, DH was there when I took it. With DS2, I found out at night and I think I just blurted it out the next day. With this one, I had planned something special to tell him on Valentines Day. I saw it online and thought it was cute. Take a hamburger or hotdog bun and put it in the oven with a note saying bun #3 will be ready Oct 9. Then when he got home from work, tell him I'm baking him something and ask if he can check the oven for me.

Of course, morning sickness started and there's no way I could have hid it for a week and a half. I ended up just handing him the paper I got from the Dr confirming pregnancy, as soon as I got back.

So this made me think, I can't surprise dh cause well he doesn't care really.
BUT, I could surprise my kids

My girls really want us to have another baby.
So any ideas on how to surprise kids(our kids are 13, 11,8,4 &2) Obviously the 2 yr old won't care.
Brittney, I think you should have the book all ready set up in whatever program you will use then when you get your BFP you print it right away so you can get it quickly

Dd1 i just blurted it out. With dd2 i had dd1 'write' dh a letter. It said how much we love him, so thankfull for how hard he works, ect. To end it it said 'I'm sure the new baby will feel the same. Love, dd-aka big sister to be. I put it in his truck after he went to bed so he found it on his way to work. This morning I called him at work and asked what he was doing. He said nothing, whats going on? I told him 'oh, im working' he guessed the garden then asked what had broke lol i told him 'nothing, i was just working on making a healthy baby.'

So we have pizza every Friday night so I have decides that if I test positive next week I'm gonna spell out "We're having a baby" on the pizza with olives. Then I'll ask DH to take the pizza out of the oven. This will be an EPIC win!

ETA: this will only work if I can keep my mouth shut until Friday!
