Window Quilts

I know this is the wrong time of year to get all the benefits from window quilts, but I just read this blog entry and thought you ladies would love it too! Maybe I can get my 2012 craft list done before fall hits and sew some for my windows...

I actually love the 9-patch pattern in the pictures, though the writer prefers all white.

Re: Window Quilts

I love them, my sil has some panels with large buttonloop type holes in them that are so pretty. I've wanted to do this in my bedroom for years. The sheer amount of work that's involved has stopped me. My windows are HUGE!

LOVE this. Thanks for the link. I've honestly never seen/heard of window quilts. Our house is so drafty, with single pane windows and I've been meaning to make inner insulation curtains to hang behind the cuter store bought curtains in the kids rooms. They weren't going to be that cute so I'm glad to see this. The wheels are now turning for cute window quilts in the kids' rooms! YAY!
