Radian harness adjustment

I cannot figure out how to get the harness threaded through the top harness slots on our xtsl. I see the holes on the front side but can't get the straps through.

I've looked at the manual but it doesn't have separate instructions for the top slots.

Help? Pics? Video? Magic wand?

TIA

Sometimes the fabric from the headwings get in the way. Make sure they're all the way up.

This is the only thing I could see preventing them from going through. Have you tried peeling the cover off the top so you can see better?

Not yet - the last time I tried to mess with it I was in a hotel room getting ready to fly out of town but felt okay with where the harness was for the switch from RF to FF. Now he has grown a bit and it's time to make the move.

I had a hard time getting the headwings all the way up. You have to mess with them and get them higher for it to work.

Re: Radian harness adjustment

i agree. i had to peel the cover off the top to see that as i was trying to jam the headwings up, they were tilted and digging into the foam underneath. so i had to tilt them forward as i was pushing them up. i just had this problem recently and i was about ready to chuck the thing i was so mad!!! its not so bad taking the cover off just the top.

So - just in case someone searches and ends up on this thread

Remove the cover, slide the headwings up and it works like a champ. I don't know why none of that is covered in the instruction manual.

I love that it let me RF my giant toddler for longer than any other seat but the manual is so unhelpful. I think I've had to ask questions about every install or adjustment we've made with it.

I even took that beast on an airplane.
