Re: beco sleeping hood

Wha? Sleeping hood? I want! I thought that wierd flap that comes up was the sleeping hood. A crappy one but still.

Can I just say that I love my beco but hate that flap with the straps? I just feel like it is going to strangle my baby. This feeling gets stronger as she gets bigger. I know I'm right there but still.

I bought my carrier used without one, but it sounds like it isn't a great feature. Well it's probably better than not having one at all. I guess I'll call them monday

Sounds like you have the Gemini not the Butterfly 2, mama. The BB2 has an actual sleeping hood, but the flap on the Gemini is more of an extendable headrest for sleeping babies or taller/bigger babies. I don't think the headrest straps will strangle your baby but I personally don't find the Gemini a great carrier for older babies. I LOVED it when my LO was younger though!
