Freezing cooked beans..liquid or no liquid?

That is my question! This is my first batch of not-from-a-can beans and I cooked WAY too much so I need to freeze some. I'm using pint canning jars if it matters.

I read no liquid. And that is what I have done. I haven't used them yet so we'll see. But every site I read said no liquid. Well they said freeze 1 and ?? cups to make a can's worth since you won't have liquid filler like in a can.

Well my grandma used to put liquid in things she froze so that it was less likely to receive freezer burn.

I do both. No liquid for recipes I want to just use the beans and liquid for when I want to make "refried". Just defrost and smash them up.

Don't freeze them-yuck! Can them. So easy and so very convient. I can all my soups, sauses. and beans. Make large batches and you are serving yummy meals at the drop of a hat! We especially love my homemade soups - add home made wheat bead - some cheese - yummie meal in minutes!

I freeze them in ziploc baggies then put them in a gallon freezer bag. I freeze them with liquid and when unthawed just rinse them off.
