Loss of sensation in areolas??

I breastfed my daughter for 3 years. I don't remember having this with her. But, I've noticed lately that myareolas seem to have lost feeling. Like, if I lightly run my finger on them, I can't really feel it. Although, if I pinch them or something, I can. It just seems like they are much less senstive. With my daughter, I remember my nipples being more sensitive, but I don't remember the loss of feeling in my areolas. I know that things can be different, but has this happened to anybody else?
