I usually call a donation truck a week a head of time (giving me time to get lots together), or place it out side a few days before trash day.

Can you just leave extra bags next to the trash? We get charged a small fee (like $2) when we do that, but at least I don't have to drive my trash anywhere! Or can you request another can from the city for few months? I know I rarely trash things, but I also understand if you have been hoarding lots of trash, or newspapers, or old and broken items and need to throw them away, they've got to go! I totally get that! If you have full cans, you are doing great!
