DD was 6lb 6oz. I was 7lbs 12oz, her dad was 9lbs 1oz. DD was early though...37 weeks 3days. Ex and I were over due, me 3days, him 1month.
Most my family was 6lbs though, I was one of the few biggest.
My ex's family was sure DD would be huge. Lol

I was 6lb15oz and my sister was 7lb1oz and my mom smoked. She was only 5lbs at birth and my gma smoked too. Dh was 7-7 at birth and his mom smoked too.
My dad was almost 9lbs and all my aunts and uncles were that big or bigger and their kids (my cousins) were all big and had big kids too. No smokers on that side.
My twins were 34wks and weighed 5 & 6lbs but my full term babies have all been 8-9lb range. DS3 was 40wks and 9-2, DS4 was 39wks and 8 even, but 5 & 6 were 37-38wk range and both weighed 8-10.
I think it depends on what side you take after as well as environmental factors. My friends are sister and their kids are totally opposite as are they. One is heavier set and the other very thin. The heavier one had 2 babies in the 10lb range (10-11 and 10-4) and 1 that was only 7lbs. All 3 of the thinner sisters kids have been in the 7lb range.

Re: Out of curiosity...

I think it has to do with the mother's side.
I was 7lb 10oz. My brother was 7lb 7oz. Not sure how big my mother was.
My brother and I were both born at 39 weeks

My children were 6lb 10oz (39 weeks) and 7lb 6oz (40w1d)

DF was 5lb 7oz when he was born!
