So I cometely understand what everyone is saying and please don't hate me for what I'm about to say, but I HATE comfort nursing. Mainly because the only time my dd wants to comfort nurse is between 10pm and 4am and that means I can't put her down. She doesnt pass out enough for me to put her back down. Therefore I end up letting her sleep on me and therefore I get about 3 hours of very broken sleep a night. It has been like this for a month (since she was born). During the day she rarely comfort nurses. If she eats enough (meaning I can keep her awake because I doubt she is as tired as me) she will sleep for about 2 hours and ends up eating every 2-3 hours. night time is just so different and I'm going back to work in 3 days. Therefore, while I understand the importance and do LOVE being with my baby, I HATE comfort nursing. Also, while she does take a paci, it doesn't work the same as comfort nursing. She loses interest quickly.
Sorry for the rant but to the OP, it sounds just like my situation and I agree it is probably normal.
