Yes, they r v1... I preferred the side snaps!!! My dd has chunky thighs so they worked better for us!! ;-)

yes, they have a low rise, but not a snap down for the umbillical cord, but to be honest, with my lo (started cding when she was 1 week old and still had her cord) it wasnt even close to rubbing on it, like over an inch away!
