Quilting help, please? :)

Okay.. so I have this bright idea that I'm going to make a quilt for the nursery bedding.. AND a crib sheet.. neither of which I've ever made before! I have less than 16 weeks to accomplish this lol

Soooooo.. anyone wanna help me out.. I need tips, links, tutorials, ANYTHING ya got... I just want to make a simple quilt.. like squares like this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/37058458@N06/4579463782/ or like this one http://www.etsy.com/listing/96940371...earch_type=all

So where do I begin? I know that I probably wont have the back quilted to it.. we have one that was made for our son and it's just got yarn tied through it and it works great, so that's what I plan to do as well.

I did find a tutorial for the crib sheet and that looks simple enough, so I should be good to go there.. hopefully

But as far as quilting.. any help is very appriciated.. I don't know a single person IRL, that lives close or anything, that could help me.
