Ack! How to clean mcro fiber with dried urine?

Dh doesn't understand the concept of AIOs!

Background: recently, Dh changed a diaper and tried to put the wool cover in the regular diaper pail. I said, no, just put in in this bin and I will clean it later. In my mind the bin was just a temporary measure.

But just now I found a BG AIO in the same bin and it has been sitting there for a WEEK! UGH! And now it is all dried out.

So, now my question is, how should I go about cleaning it? I was going to soak it before washing it, but I would like to know if there is any specific thing I should soak it in.

Poor Dh, he tries so hard.

Thanks!

I'd just throw it in the wash like usual. It's probably fine.

Ok, that's reassuring. I was worried about uric acid build up because it was dried out. But maybe that's not a problem?

Re: Ack! How to clean mcro fiber with dried urine?

A while back we took our daughter to the ER in a Bum Genius cloth diaper. Long story short, we wound up staying 3 days in the hospital and her cloth diaper got put in a bag of dirty clothes that then sat in my garage for about 10 days. DH cleaned out the truck when we got home and put the bag out of the way and it went unnoticed. I ran an extra pre-rinse on the diaper and then a normal wash and haven't had any problems out of the diaper at all. No stink or issues. So perhaps an extra pre-rinse and then wash as usual. I think you'll be ok!

I would soak it in warm water for a couple hours first, then wash it.

I got one left behind at a friend's house who didn't CD and didn't know it was dirty...it was in a wet bag for a month...extra soak and regular wash routine...no problem with it.
