My 4 year used to fall as a toddler if he WASN'T wearing his SKR shoes and my 2 year old would fall if he did. I definitely agree that it all depends on whether the child has wide feet. Keens are another super wide shoe that fit my 4 year old well.

My DS can do Keens but not SKR. DD can't do either one. She has average to slightly narrow width feet and a super narrow heel/ankle. He has a wide foot and a slightly narrow heel/ankle.

We got rid of ours after dd bailed down the front porch stairs in hers. She had tripped in them before, but I figured that she would get used to them. Never again! Pedipeds are a much better fit for our kiddos.
