Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge Week 4/30-5/4
Majorly slacked this week... we had a pretty busy week, though. We sold our car, then bought another car in a different state. So DH ended up being gone for two days and made an 11 hour drive -- each way -- to go get it! He didn't get home until late last night. My toddler also upped the sass while he was gone, so I've had my hands full, haha.
We also decided that we're going to make our spare bedroom our son's "big boy" room, and keep his room as the new baby's. I am really itching to get it started... and once it's underway it will be SO MUCH easier to declutter our upstairs. A lot of stuff doesn't have a real home right now, and I'd rather declutter and then be able to put stuff where it belongs. That includes outgrown clothes and baby clothes, our closet (which is storing baby stuff), our son's room, toys, our office (which is also holding clothes at the moment), etc. Once the room is painted then I can start moving some stuff in there, so hopefully tomorrow I can get that done (or at least started). It's really been bugging me because I feel like my hands are tied. It's hard to find time to do it. My husband has been trying to get stuff done with our yard, too, so it's rare for me to have a long stretch of free time (let alone one that I'd also have the energy to do it all!). So that's my story this week, haha. But I will be catching up and decluttering a lot soon.

Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge Week 4/30-5/4
I've been working on the storage area challenge today. I am working on going through some bins we have in a section of the basement. I've gotten rid of a ton so far. I also found that a mouse taken up residence in the same storage area. This mouse weaseled its way into the storage bin where I kept my maternity clothes. The little vermin chewed holes in and pooped all over my maternity stuff. I also got rid a bunch of knick knacks that were stored. I hated them when I put them in storage so I've decided to get rid of them all (they were mostly gifts).
I don't really have many ideas for next week. We've tackled so many areas with these challenges already.

Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge Week 4/30-5/4
I have 4 more challenges to go to catch up from my last two weeks of being a slacker. I may not go through every area thoroughly just to be able to keep up, but hey that's the point of a mini challenge right, is to just get 5 things done. I just hate being behind and the more behind I get the more I just want to give up entirely.
