Setting bounderies for toddler nursing?
Ds is 13 months and nowhere near ready to wean and I'm okay with that. He gets a bottle of cows milk before bed then whenever he wakes (usually between 12-3) I get in the guest bed with him and nurse/co-sleep until morning. Then I nurse him before a nap. The problem I have is I can't sit on the floor to play with him with out him coming to pull at my shirt and he gets MAD if I say no. I don't want to turn him away if he does need some comfort/reassurance but more often than not, he's rolling off before a let down.
How can I limit his idea of an "open bar" but still allow him some comfort? I want to be able to play with him without him trying to nurse for 5 seconds every 2 minutes.
