Mini Minimalist Challenge runs for the week, Monday-Friday, with weekends off. I will be posting the entire week of challenges in advance. I suggest, if you are able to, taking your weeks worth of donations and drop them off on Saturday/Sunday to avoid a new clutter spot. Out of sight, out of mind. Before and after pictures are great if you want to post them to inspire others. Suggestions welcome, please PM me. Lets get minimal ladies!!!

Week 9

Monday 5-7: Purge 5 items from your play room aka kids toys, games, books.

Tuesday 5-8: Purge 5 items from your linen closet or another closet.

Wednesday 5-9: Purge 5 items from outside, garage, shed areas.

Thursday 5-10: Purge 5 items from your living room.

Friday 5-11: Purge 5 items from your dining room.

Went a little out of order yesterday. I did the linen closet because I was to tired to walk downstairs to do the playroom. Hopefully tonight I can do the play room. I also tackled one more tote of clothes out of storage. I've been slowly going through my stored totes of outgrown clothes and purging "extra" stuff since I wasn't always as ruthless about what went and what got stored. 18 months must have been when I quit storing everything though because I only found 4 onsies to pass on to my nephew. Hoping to do 2T tonight to find him a few more summer clothes. Also spent a little time on the nursery. That has been a hard room for me. We moved ds out of it when he was 3 to get it ready for a new baby. We got the room painted and then in the middle of all the construction type mess my dh had in there, I lost the baby. I have just kept the room closed up for the last 6 months because I haven't been able to deal with going in there. My due date was last week, and I'm finally ready to move on and accept the fact that I"m still not pregnant and deal with the room. It was a big accomplishment for me just to clean up the paint marks off the floor and put away 1 box of stuff that was sitting out. I've left the door open so I can try and remember to do a few things in there each night so it isn't so overwhelming.

Sorry, I didn't mean to bring the thread down, it just often amazes me how much emotion about stuff gets in the way about minimizing things.

Cleaned out some stuffed animals from ds2 toys, debating on if I should get rid of our wooden toy food and just keep the green toys plastic stuff (i have 3 boys and worry about wooden food becoming projectiles, lol).
Cleaned out my sock/panty drawer from the dresser in my closet, got about 2 walmart bags worth.

Finally threw out a few more keepsakes from last weeks list. Just cleared out a bunch of junk from a living room storage drawer. After my snack, I'm going upstairs to thin out toys...again!! They multiply so fast.

Got a good deal cleaned out with a g/sale and curb alert this weekend. Including a couch and sofa table--yay! Had to bring a few items back in after finding out we are expecting again, lol, but I tried to keep it minimal.
