I am pretty sure DS1 has ADHD.

I have been feeling so run down and just at my wits end with his behavior for about 6+ months (DS is 4.5 years old). He is out of control! I started researching and pretty much all I am discovering points to ADHD... but my question is; what next?

He was too young to go to school this year (4K) so I don't have the school yet. Do I go to his pedi? Do I call the school? I'm so confused... I want to help him so that he's not getting in trouble so much - and so our lives are less stressful!

Any help or imput would be great!

I would call his pedi. He can set you up with the necessary specialists.

Does ADHD qualify for Early Intervention? He might be able to attend Pre-k early? (I'm not sure it if qualifies so you would have to check with the program in your state.)

After age 3, Early Intervention is done through the school system. You can call your pedi to go through specialists to get a diagnosis/theraputic referals. You can also call a local school and ask how to get your son evaulated. He may qualify for for ESE Pre-K. If you don't get an answer from the school you can call the Early Steps/ Early intervention (0-3), and they will let you know how to go through the next steps. My son is 6 and we are just starting the process of diagnosis for ADHD for him. He is having major behavioral issues in school.
