Ginger at Dali's age, right before getting PT:

Ginger at 11 mos, with tort resolved and she is walking. However, in the case of severe tort usually the face is affected (you can see how it is asymmetrical) because those muscles take a lot longer to relax/stretch they way they are supposed to.

So by her second bday facial stuff resolves and she's totally normal. Well, that's debatable but there is no evidence of tort left.

Oy. I should have known this kid would be trouble

Ok, I would seriously pay someone a million dollars to do my dishes. I am so sick of this rental. I am tired of the crappy sink, and putting the dishes in the crappy dishwasher to put 1/3 of them back in said DW because it got them dirtier than when they went in. GAH!

Re: It is a basic Thursday

Oh my gosh, she is a cutie! Yes Dali cocks her head to the side like that...The pedi said the neck muscles weren't extremely tight or 'hardened' so it wouldn't be considered severe tort. But, she has a hard time with tummy time, since her head leans so far to one side...she will be up on her arms for a bit and then fall over to the left because her head pulls her down. I am just trying to stretch her out and do the diaper change stretches - I am hoping Adam can jump on board with me on this thing.

So, got an e-mail from the babysitter/nanny I hired...she apparently will not be able to start on Monday. Or ever.

I am seriously at a loss of what to do now. Adam leaves the first week of June or his cousins wedding in CA..I am going to go crazy if childcare keeps falling through

It also helps to feed her from the opposite side, carry her on the opposite side, etc. We tend to favor one side when we do everything, and we don't realize how much that can affect the baby. If you always carry on your right hip, she's always going to be looking to the right. If Adam holds her the same way to give her a bottle, she's always going to hold her head the same way, etc. It's more of a lifestyle adjustment.

Hey all we are home. We did the weekly grocery shopping. A Sonic run. Chicken fingers in the oven. Potatoes cooking for mashed potatoes. We will have that with some veggie.

I smacked my hand on a sink at work today when I was walking and I am in some pain. I know I didn't break anything but MAN IT HURTS. Mel was great and did all the potatoes for dinner. Not sure I could have after doing the chicken.

Ok, all three kids mattresses and box springs are now at or en route to the big house. They are going to sleep in our bed tonight. Tomorrow, we sleep at the big house! DH said when he did the first run the contractor had finished the sink, disposal, and dishwasher and was cursing out the range when he got there. So in theory the next time I see the kitchen it will be fully functional!
