Prefolds?

Are they all the same? I see so many different types offered on FSOT. Going to buy 3 dozen Infant for when baby arrives, but not sure where to buy. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA!!

They can be slightly different. Some are cut a bit shorter and wider for great trifolding and better fit. Some are not as thick in layers - for instance, one brand of newborn pf's might be 3x6x3 but another is 4x8x4 layers thick. My favorite for a newborn is GMD (green mountain diapers) brand - they are nice, soft and thick. Osocozy Better Fits are also very absorbent but run quite small - you can use the "infant" size on a newborn for instance - but they are excellent for trifolding.

For size small and up, Imagine Smart Fits are great - cant beat the price either.

In my opinion, been cloth diapering for over 4 years.. .the Imagine Prefolds at www.nickisdiapers.com and the prefolds at www.greenmountaindiapers.com are the best prefolds.

They are equal in quality, but at Nicki's you can get the organic prefolds for the same price as the regular prefolds at GMD diapers.

If I hadn't been gifted the GMDs that I have now, I would have bought the Nicki's, just to get more for my money.

Both brands held up better than any other brand of prefolds I've used.

Thank you so much!! This is exactly the information I was looking for. I am going to get 3 dozen infant prefolds - will get some of each of the types you all mentioned.
