relactating
i gave up EPing due to chronic mastitis. with the chronic mastitis came a huge drop in supply. i just feel so bad giving him formula... it has been a month since i pumped, but i can still get some drops of BM if i squeeze my nipples. I want to relactate. I want to have the nursing relationship that we have missed out on since he was born. how should I go about it?

Re: relactating
Here is some reading to get you started:
http://kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/basics/decrease-formula/ http://kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/relactation/ Kellymom.com is your friend as well as LLLI. Find a good lactation consultant or group of people who can help encourage and support you. It can be done, it has been done and you can successfully get baby back to the breast. It just takes a lot of patience. You can do it! ![]() Best wishes, Mama.

Re: relactating
Certainly try to, but don't stress if it doesn't happen. I never got a good supply, despite my best efforts, and my son and I still bond when I feed him. You do what works best for your family.

I say try! What's the harm in it? Keep us posted!
