If you are doing it to not be wasteful and not because you do not want to use plastic, I have used a gallon sized freezer bag. I have some that I made 2 years ago with cut bags on the inside and a cotton outer( just for cuteness and so ds's teacher would not think it was trash and through it away). I put them in the wash and hang to dry and they are still going strong

Thank you for the tip! Since i have a freezer bag on handy i will whip one up! I want yo try one with nylo. Or something food safe any recommendations?
