Never heard it and I don't know any one with the name, but it's not my personal taste at all, but since your mom, use it if you like it.

I've never met anyone named Fiona - baby or otherwise. I LOVE it! I'd go for it if I were you, but wouldn't be surprised if it started to get popular. Those older less common names are really coming back.

I don't think it is a common or popular name. I have met one Fiona in my life and now a girl on another board with me is naming her baby girl Fiona Rose.

It's not popular over here, in Scotland its fairly common, but it's still a very pretty name!
