Back to back braxton hicks at 17 weeks?

Title pretty much sums it up. This is my 6th preg, 4th that I've gotten this far with. I have a history of early bhs, and lots of them. With Kian, the midwife kept doing that test on me to see if I was likely to go into labor in two weeks b/c I'd always have more than the "ok" amount per hour. The test always came back fine, and Kian was born at 39 weeks. I know I always get them early, but I second guess everything in this preg since its following two losses. Today was hot and I gardened/organized, but didn't overwork for 17ish weeks. I had them coming one right after the other till I laid down and drank water. Normal? Have you had that? I do feel everything more promenently and earlier this time around.

I went into preterm labor at 23 weeks because of dehydration. Dehydration is also a common cause of "false labor".

The only thing I crave this preg is lemons and since its bad to eat them straight, I put them in water. The nice thing about that is I drink a ton. So I am drinking a lot, and I'm drinking extra now b/c of the bhs. Thanks you though for the reminder. I will keep up on TONS of water.

Re: Back to back braxton hicks at 17 weeks?

I had this with my son's pregnancy. I would have BH's less than 5 minutes apart almost constantly. I was put on bedrest... but they still came I never got medication, hydration didn't work, and my cervix didn't change. I delivered at 39 weeks. I'm trying not to be nervous this time. I'm having early BH's again.... but not constantly like with DS.

I had a day of contractions and pressure at 20 weeks with this pregnancy. It was just not hydrated enough.
