My husband teases me to just get rid of our extra seats as on the off chance we adopt again I will want the cool new ones (though I tried with no luck on Craig's List so I gave up as there are so many on there).

You know you have to test all the seats for us just in case we all do quick/last minute adoptions so we can go to you and say, help, which one to get quickly as its not like you can always plan.

Yayay! I dont think you need to get a new infant seat. Ive got a snugride with another year left on it. You can use mine then ill just have to get a new one.

eta i cant unload my seats on CL either so i lend them out to friends. Too many expired $25 piece of crap seats to choose from i guess. :/

I lent out one of our corroco's to a friend who I know will take care of it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our key fit 22 from '09 but the new ones look cooler. Actually, what I'd probably do is get my son a new swedish seat to let him RF even longer than 40 pounds and put the baby in his Duologic which has an infant seat in it. The only problem with the Duologic is that it is impossible to travel with. I'm completely anal about car seats and cribs. I don't care as much about other stuff but when it comes to the safety stuff, that's where I will spend the money. The problem is if I lend them out, I don't know if I want to use them again as I'm just too paranoid. I love the Maxi Cosi Pria seats so I'd probably go for that new infant seat.

Ive only ever used a snugride but the harness adjusters are horrible. Jen brought her baby over in a kkeyfit which i promptly fell in love with. It is quite a bit heavier than the snugride but the features are enough to make it worth it imo. You know im a carseat fan too, it kills me when people spend $200 on a phone and complain about spending $40 on a scenera!

Yesterday was the first day with our new agency. Our worker told us to stand by, we should have a call for a baby anytime. I was blown away. In the 3 months with the first agency, we only had 2 respite stays. I am excited, nervous, and overwhelmed. Watch our luck, and it will be months.

Our adoption agency accepted our homestudy! We have to fill out our i600-a (immigration paperwork) still but we should have that in the mail by the beginning of next week. All that is left to do now is wait! We should have a "waiting number" by the end of this week. Really excited just to have something even if the number doesn't mean a whole lot... or does it. Does anyone else doing international adoption have a number?
