question about c25k
For those of you who have or are doing it, did you feel like yoi were going to die when you first started?
Today was day one of week two for me. I managed, but I find myself short of breath willing the running part to end. I spend the entire walking interval trying to catch my breath. Also, how do you know if you should repeat a week?

Before I would repeat a week I would always try the first run of the next week. If you have to stop during that run then go back and repeat a week but always try that next week before you repeat.

Thanks for the great advice as always
![]() I was thinking I should slow down. And work on breathing and stamina for now. I can always work on getting faster once im able to run for longer periods of time

Re: question about c25k
I am planning on starting this after DS is born (EDD 5-29), so I am curious for any feedback too! I was a runner in high school and college, but when I got pregnant with my DD, I gave it all up. I am hoping to get back into the shape I was in 5 years ago! My husband does half marathons often, so I feel like I need to catch up!

Re: question about c25k
I felt miserable when I started, but it is an excellent program. I am now running between 10-20 miles per week. 5 miles is easy now- such an amazing difference. I was never a runner- I swam in high school. Breathing while running was always tough for me, but now I can run and take a deep breath while running and just feel energized by it- almost like yoga.

Re: question about c25k
I've heard that you should trust your lungs but not your legs, so if you are out of breath you are running too fast/long and should slow down but if your legs burn just push through it. But I'm not a runner, c25k was way too hard for me.

Re: question about c25k
YES!!!! I did feel like I was going to die! As a matter of fact, I was looking today at what I was running when I first started the program and laughed at myself because I had such a hard time running for 60 seconds!
Now I am up to 20 minutes and it is so much easier. Not easy, but it's easier than it was and I enjoy it now! I am so much stronger now than when I started. Keep at it!
