Parents! What are you doing with all the STUFF?!

I put it in a pile and go through the pile after dd is in bed. She hates watching me throw out spelling tests and math papers but never notices it missing if she doesn't watch me toss it. Art work - we have a bin for and dd helps decide what we keep.

I take pictures of all his art work and special stuff, and then throw it out, I plan on making a picture book of all his artwork. We don't get worksheets and the like yet, since DS is 4.

Sit down together and go through the pile . Let them keep a few prized ones to display . Take pictures of the other less important things that they are attached to and trash the rest.

It goes in recycle when they aren't looking.

I'd take pictures of each project and then toss 95% of them.

Okay well it sounds like I need to take some pics and clear some space in the recycle can.
I'll let them each pick two things to display for a bit and use the recycle line pp mentioned. I do like the bonfire idea but I'd probably burn my house down. Oh and of course, yeah it probably sends the wrong message.

Odd man out. I keep just about all of it. We have 3 boxes (medium packing size) full of all my DD's work from preschool to now kindergarten. (hahahah, I feel like a crazy hoarder now)

I have a tote that I keep it all in and it slides under my bed. When it comes home from school it goes on the fridge. When the fridge gets full I take down the older stuff and put it in the tote. DD is 3.5 and I have about 2 years worth of stuff. Now I don't keep the pages where they just put stickers on it...come on, my kid can write her name much less put a sticker on a piece of paper lol. I guess my "hoarding" of these things comes from the fact that my mom has a huge box of my stuff. I love the fact that she kept it and now I have it

My kids are young, but so far I've just got a memory box for all of them (a small tote) and I put in what I want to keep.
