Beco BB2 or boba?

Hi all,

DS just turned two and is 36 inches and 30lbs.

I had an ergo and he hated it so I sold it. Now that he's a little older I'd like to give BWing another shot. We aren't having any more kids do I hope he likes it.

I've watched videos and like the different features on each one but still don't know which to get. I'm leaning towards the beco because of the panel that will keep him secure while putting him on my back.

However, I like the talker shell on the boba and how the straps can get rolled up. But, I'm afraid the boba might be to high. DS will not tolerate anything around his neck and up.

I'm 5'8 and 170 lbs and DH is about 6'1 and average. Maybe on the slimmer side.

I really like the Boba for my 2 year old. I wear him often in it. I don't like pannels inbetween me and my son's, and with a little practice it's pretty easy to get a toddler on your back without one. That's my opinion though

I have no experience with a Beco, however I have a Boba and I do love it - all 3 of my little ones (almost 4, 2.5, and 8 months) fit in it AND my husband uses it occasionally too! I don't use it much for my oldest but sometimes it is helpful for when he is sleeping and I need to get him out of the carseat w/o waking him up and he likes being on my back sometimes, too. My 2.5 year old does love it. I can fit her in the Ergo too but she definitely prefers the Boba. I don't bother using the foot straps though. And while they may be useful (I am not sure) they get lost too easily, at least for us We've had it for almost 2 years now and I've gotten a ton of use out of it

I'm another boba user! Ds is 13 lbs, and his head is above the back, so I would bet your little one wouldn't have any trouble with it being on his neck. I love the features of the boba ( foot straps, purse strap holder etc) and like pp said, once you get the hang of it there is no need for an inside panel. Espically on an older baby who can cling to you while you strap them on.
