"clothes" or wool to the beach?

For those of you who use wool, when you take your kiddos to the beach, do you put them in wool (I no longer have any interlock, only knit) or just regular clothes? My guess is regular clothes. We are going to the E. Coast next week and will be making a day trip to Lk Erie. My plan was to travel with all wool, but I think it may be easier to get sand out of "regular" shorts? Any thoughts?

We use all wool and have no regular clothing. Whne we go on the beack we opt for just a fitted diaper and shirt and skip the bottoms. Otherwise, tooting around we wear our wool. Th sadn isn't too bad just give them a good shake.

I put my little guy in his swimming shorts. Even though he doesn't go in the water. Way easier to clean. If I didn't have some I'd just go coverless.

We live in Daytona beach so were there a lot.

I'd probably have a nervous breakdown with my hand knits at the beach.

Yan no wool at the beach! It even gets stuck in interlock. I'm not even a fan of cd's at the beach. I normally opt for a sposie if I have any random ones around.

Re: "clothes" or wool to the beach?

Thank you everyone, I'll pack one outfit of shorts (just realized that means I'm packing pockets too). Its so much easier to just pack one system. I'd totally let her go for the day in her swim suit, except I worry she'll get chilly in the evening, and then I have the wool on the beach problem again!

I thought about doing sposies, but I'm scared to death she'll get a rash from them or be allergic to them. She's hasn't worn sposies since she was a newborn and I was recovering from my c-section. She didn't have trouble then, but you never know. She totally doesn't seem to have sensitive skin even, I just worry about them.
