Helping A Picky Eater

Has anyone had success with helping a picky eater who has some degree of oral sensitivity?

Our son is 6.5, has autism, and only eats a small variety of things. He won't touch veggies, meats, cheese or most fruit.

He has recently started complaining constantly about being hungry all the time. But he still won't eat more than that handful of things. At the same time, he's clearly sick of them.

I've read about ways to help decrease the sensitivity in his mouth ranging from using cloths to wipe the inside of his cheek to vibrating toothbrushes.

Does anyone here have any experience with this?

What about seeking the services of an occupational therapist or speech language pathologist with experience in food aversion and oral sensitivity?

There was actually a thread about this not long ago. I'm on my phone so I don't know if I can link it but if I find it I can maybe bump it.
