Re: How to store diapers

Oh wow thanks for all of the advice. Just wanted to make sure that in 1 1/2 when I'm pregnant with #3 I don't end up trying to find time to re replace all of the elastic on the diapers.

Re: How to store diapers

Hmm I've never had elastic go bad ever. I wonder how much it has to do with how clean the diapers where when they went into storage? I've stored diapers for a year in between #1 and #2 in an open cloth bag in the closet and they were perfect. I just pulled #2 newborn stash out of storage and they are perfect too. They've been stored for the last 2 years in a Sterilite container in the basement. Why would the elastic in diapers degrade and not the elastic in clothing? Is the same type generally used?

Now I'm gonna have to pull all my diapers out and check them. They are all in boxes in the closet. I stopped using them ft when I didn't have a washer so they've been stored for about a year, will be 2 before the newbie comes and from when they were put up. Now, my question is, who fixes elastic, or how hard is it to fix? (Just in case)
