Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
I'm so jealous! I dreamed of a midwife and homebirth VBA2C for years! It won't work out this time around, but I will be pursuing a hospital VBA2C.
I'll live vicariously through you ladies this time

Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
midwife guru here
I am loving my 3rd go round with my awesome midwife!! It seriously is like having a close friend at your back supporting you through your pregnancy versus the super medical feel of an OB! My first I had an OB and I will never go back no thank you LOL

How many of you ladies plan to have a doula? Highly recommend it (although I'm bias since I myself am a doula)!!!!

Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
I am using a midwife for the first time! I already have two sons--born via emergency c-section, and then a VBAC. I am so excited to give birth at home this time around.

Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
I used a midwife at a hospital for the birth of my daughter in Dec 2010, and we are doing the same this go around. Unfortunately the only problem this go around is that with budget cuts they are only available M-F until 6pm at the hospital, so if heaven forbid I go into labor on the weekend I may have to use an OB. There aren't a lot more options around here, and I LOVE MY MIDWIVES!

We are planning on a home birth but my MW also has a birth center that I can go to if need be! I am due November 14th, we shall see when this little bugger decides to come out!

Having my first at home with a midwife in November. 2 girlfriends just did it for their firsts and I believe in mother nature. Little nervous but confident the home environment will be more comfortable emotionally!

Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
First two were what I call uneducated hospital births, two were land births, at home with a midwife, one was a water birth at home with a midwife, new one due Nov 8 is planned to be a water birth at home with a midwife.

Re: Midwife Users Check In :)
Planning my first home birth with a wonderful mw. Had a horrible hospital birth with my first and hope to avoid that experience again. Going to try for a water birth, but guess I'll see how I feel when the time comes. I'm excited and a little bit nervous.
