Washing issues

My entire diaper stash began smelling like decomposing skunks recently. So... I tried a billion different things, nothing worked... until I soaked them for 16 hours in a large washer load with 1 1/2 cups of oxyclean.

So... do you think that did any damage? They look ok. They smell good. I haven't used any yet. I'm halfway afraid to! We have been using Charlie's Soap but I'm thinking that's not working, since the stink was NOT going away even with multiple rinses. What's good for ridiculously hard water? Ugh... I don't EVER want to smell that kind of stink again.

Re: Washing issues

Hmm we have really hard water too, and what finally got rid of the funky stink from our mf was not using vinegar (I had been using it in the rinse). I also had to switch to Sunlight detergent (I had been using Ecover - we have a front loader and we live in Canada, so my options are VERY limited for detergent). So far, so good.
