ugh, love it when people just won't get a clue.

Kezia has been pulling up on furniture and whatnot for about a week. I'm shocked! I don't really remember Elijah doing that, same with Sydney, but I'm probably just forgetting. Just not ready for 3 walking!

Well after about 14 thousand variation repeats of 'wow, Harper is so sleepy I think it's time for bed' and 'T (the 18mo) just seems exhausted, is she ready for bed too?' they FINALLY left.

What was so strange is the mother kept sitting down to try and nurse her and she would escalate every time. The screaming became screeching. It actually made me very uncomfortable that the baby wasn't wanting it and the mom was forcing it. I get that sometimes babies get distracted and they need some convincing to eat instead of play but an 18 month old? Especially if they're fighting it? She never did nurse... After watching interact with her her all day it was very clear that she is holding on to that baby phase. I have never seen such a coddled baby in my life. And this was not just gentle parenting or AP. It was weird.

Okay now that I am done venting and being judgmental (sorry... ) what's everyone up to today? We have church at 11, but thats it for plans! Dh doesn't work tomorrow or Tuesday so we have a super long weekend. Unfortunately it's extremely hot out and pollen levels are high so activities need to be indoors. Maybe indoor swimming at the Y. Again.

Well Caspian took his first real steps yesterday towards Ray. Of course it was the 1/2 hour I was gone at the store. I don't think any of the kids have walked to me first.

Re: August 2011 - May chat

No walking yet here that is ok though I am not ready for it.

So I know I said this before but I am so torn about wanting another baby. I think I do? Dh and I are just talking about it now but we will see.

Off topic I had a funny convo with dh today:

So today I said to my husband. I do not know what I want to be when I grow up. He said I thought you wanted to be a mommy. I said yes but what about when they get older? He said you probably will be even more tired.

He followed that with listing my interest into one and said why don't you become a rescue dog yoga instructor I am sure there is a need and there is not to many out there. He was kidding of course but he touched on my interests and I think now it is not about searching it is about doing. Best part is I do not think it has to be done tomorrow. I finally feel like I can just relaxe and take my time.

Well, my nights now officially revolve around this view from my bed...

tonight is Harpers first night in her crib. I really never had such a hard time with my older kids. I think it because I know that this time, once we go through a door, we cant go back. She's literally across the hallway from me but it feels so far. I miss her.

I hope I don't regret this.

Well, she woke up at 10:45 with a HUGE burp but slept through the night after that!! She woke up to nurse at 6:50 and was so cheerful when I walked in to see her. We cuddled in the rocking chair and it was so sweet.

Thanks for the love mamas. It's hard letting go sometimes!!

Because Dh is a big time snorer (think Olympic quality ) and I think he is the reason she wakes so much. And, I am ready to have my adult bed back .
