Re: talk to me about UNPAPER TOWELS!
You can put greasy foods on newspaper and if there is a spill use your cloth rag then rinse it really well in hot water and maybe a little dish soap then wash normally.

Re: talk to me about UNPAPER TOWELS!
I'm not a die hard non-paper towel user. But, I do try to use more "rags" (unpaper towels
at Leah) than paper. I'm still fairly new to trying to cut down on my paper towel use and I do it to save money. I use whatever old cloth I find around the house. Usually old towels, hand towels, old children's wash cloths that I never really used, old cloth wipes. I also have a TON of rags that you can get at Wal-Mart for cars or whatever. I got them from a job I used to have. They replaced theirs and I thought they might come in handy. I kept them for like 10 years before I finally started using them all the time. (I used to be a major paper towel user. ) For a long while, I thought what a waste of space, but now I'm glad I had the forethought to take them. My laundry room is right off my kitchen. I keep them in a pile on the shelf in there. I just go grab one. When I'm done using it, but not ready to wash it yet, I hand it on the sink to use again. When it's dirty, I toss it in my regular laundry. I have a laundry basket in my laundry room. Easy peasy for me. ![]() I couldn't care less about snaps or anything fancy. It took me a while to realize I could just use rags though.

It's an awesome idea!! The cabinet under my sink is pretty much empty. It's a long story, but basically when we moved in it was nasty under there because of a pluming issue. My husband took care of that, but I still don't keep much under there. Silly, I know. I've been wondering where I could put the rags that would actually be IN my kitchen. The laundry room is close, but I wish they were within arms reach, KWIM. I don't really have anywhere on my counter and no extra drawers. I'm going to find a basket to put them in and put them under my sink! Great idea!!! Thanks!!
