Boys 12-18 mo FRB of clothes
Hey mama's!
My husband and I are having a really rough time right now money wise, and my kiddo's are all outgrowing their clothes so a friend of mine brought over two HUGE boxes of clothes, all sizes, boy and girl. There were a few things that fit each kid, but so much of it was too small, or not the right gender in the right size. The stuff is in GREAT shape and some nice brands too! I don't want to sell the stuff (even though the money would be nice LOL) because it was such a loving gesture, I'd much rather pass it on to someone who is in as much need as we are!I would gladly pay the shipping if I could, but we just REALLY don't have any money. Most of this group is jean/denim, so it's pretty heavy. I think the med. FRB is the cheapest way to go, so 10.85 for shipping. There are two long sleeved onesies, a pair of overalls, a CUTE CUTE CUTE pair of US Polo Assc. shortalls and 5 pairs of pants. All 12-18, 12 or 18 mo size, boys. I will give this til Friday, then use a random selection program on my DH's lab computer to pick the winner. Please, only enter if you're in need, or enter for someone who is in need. To enter, just comment here with your best money saving/expense cutting ideas and tips! (Cloth diaper suggestions for household items that can be used as CD anyone???) I have tons more clothes that I'll add as I sort through and get them together in size/gender.

I don't want to enter, just FYI if you buy postage through paypal, dc is free on priority and frb is priority. Plus, I'm pretty sure its a DS requirement to ship with dc.

I think this is super nice of you! Do not enter me, we are not in need of clothes, but I did want to comment on you selling these. I have a friend who is struggling and has kiddos a little younger than mine and gets all of our outgrown clothes except for the baby. If she were to sell them in order to get clothes the right size or diapering needs, I think that would be o.k. I think she just wanted to help you out and if that means selling them to get what does work I see no problem in that! I understand if you do not feel comfortable doing that, just wanted to let you know how I feel as someone who likes to help out a close friend.

So wonderful! I wish I could use these, but DS wears this size now and it's too hot in Florida for long stuff. I wouldn't want to deprive another mama that needs these for cooler weather. Thanks so much for helping other mamas!

Re: Boys 12-18 mo FRB of clothes
Hi mama nice lotto
my best money saving tip at the moment would be "recycling" clothes. Like, I took my daughters old nb onesies that were blue and green and covered the girly embellishments with fabric and/or a homemade appliqué with fusible interface. I hemmed the cuff of otherwise gender neutral clothes too so a blue pair of pants with ribbon at the bottom became just a blue pair of pants. As for her, I cut off any footies, pants, or butt areas that were too small for CDs off of clothes that otherwise fit her well but were too short and made them into very wearable shirts As for cD stuff from around the house, I can take those scraps of clothes to make soakers and old sheets work too. Replacing worn out elastic etc

Re: Boys 12-18 mo FRB of clothes
hey mama, im not entering but this is a very nice lotto. i just wanted to give you some tips
the dollar store is the best place to get the household stuff, you really save a bunch getting your stuff there, and getting things that are generic off brand helps too. i buy a lot of clothes for my ds used from garage sales and resale shops, and new clothes from clearance racks, walmart and outlet stores. i dont know whats around you but our gymbo outlet has TONS of shirts 1.99-3 right now and shorts and swim suits are pretty cheap too. for cloth diapers, we used receiving blankets until we had money to buy real diapers, and if you buy guc-vguc pockets on here then you can sew(or just stuff) the receiving blanket into it and have an AIO! also, you can stuff just about anything into a pocket:a washcloth, an old tee shirt, a pillowcase, and you could sew old socks together to make a soaker pad for a pocket. if you need trainers for any of your kids you can sew fabric into regular undies to make them more padded. BTW the other mamas are right, it is ok to trade or sell to get things you need, id post the clothes on a iso/iha thread and just say what you need

I want to enter if I can!!! I desperately need 12-18 month clothes and have basically nothing to spend. I can do shipping though.
Since we are on such a tight budget, I make our own laundry detergent and dish soap. We were spending $30 a month on one bottle. Now I spend about $10-$12 per 6 months. Big difference! CD safe detergent! Also once a week, I buy two whole chickens and for our family of five... I can make up to five meals for all of us. One night is baked chicken where I bake it all. The next night I peel the chicken off the bones and make chicken quesadillas. Then the next night I use some chicken to make a jumbilaya kind of thing with rice and beans. The next two nights, I make a big pot of chicken and vegetable soup. It goes a long way. Please enter me for the drawing!
