In appreciation of EP moms!
I returned to work from maternity leave this week, pump in tow. While I pumped a little while at home and nursing to build a freezer supply, I has no idea until these past few days the effort that goes into pumping several times a day. It's as time consuming as nursing with the hassle of cleaning and preparing bottles like formula! Major kudos to the moms out there who EP because they are determined to feed their children breastmilk- y'all deserve your own holiday, or at least a medal!

Re: In appreciation of EP moms!
I work a lot and I can say, IT SUCKS lol. I pump twice during my shift and I hate it. Thankfully, I work at a hospital and I'm allowed to use their symphony pump and I get a nice room to sit in plus a fridge to store the milk. The support here is pretty great too - the other day one of the nurses said "you are such a great mom, pumping for you baby like this!"
![]() ETA - I don't EP. So I do give major props to those that do. I don't even think about pumping on my days off!

Thanks.
![]() I've been EPing for 4.5 months now due to some medical issues my baby has. It's hard and time consuming, but it does gets easier with time. It's all worth it to give her the best though!
