Please help a newbie to wool...
Need help measuring for wool. The waist measurement is all the way around, is there usually room for stretch? Thanks

Re: Please help a newbie to wool...
Just measure around the baby wearing a diaper (I usually use one of the fluffiest to be sure it fits over that one too) but the wool will stretch. I wouldn't pull the tape measure super tight but you don't need to allow room for anything. Good luck!

Re: Please help a newbie to wool...
Wool is very stretchy, so when knit to specific measurements for a custom it will have some give to it, especially in a ribbed waistband.
Measure exact measurements of your child (unless your knitter says otherwise) with the diaper they will most likely be wearing under it. So don't measure in a prefold if you plan on using this over a night time diaper or the other way around. |

Right, waist is all the way around! Stretch depends on how it's made, knitted has the most stretch! HTH
