Unhappy What a difference!!

Well, I usually use washing soda and Simple Green to wash my dipes and am very happy with how that's working. Blame it on pregnancy brain or something, I let myself slip up and run out of washing soda and keep forgetting to buy now I'm running out of dipes because they're all waiting to be washed. So this afternoon, I was desperate and figured what the heck, one wash with my regular detergent won't hurt anything. WRONG!! I use All F&C for the rest of our laundry and have no problems with that (even though DJ and I both have very sensitive skin) so I only used a very little bit in the diapers. I know that F&C detergents are bad for buildup, but I figured one wash wouldn't be the end of the world. Four wash/rinse cycles later, the water's still totally sudsy! I can't decide if I should keep washing them or just go ahead and dry them and see if there are any problems and then try to strip if necessary. I know one thing...I'll be picking up more washing soda in the morning (and an extra box for the pantry!) but if I ever run out again, I'll wash with no detergent before I use regular detergent on dipes! I just can't believe what a difference it hard it is to rinse this stuff out! I've never peeked in the rinse cycle for regular laundry to see if the water is clear or not but now I'm really curious...what would our clothes feel like if they were really clean instead of still "soapy"?

Re: What a difference!!

I cannot get washing soda here in my VERY metro area. I was in IA for the last 9 days and found it there in a Fareway store. Bought 2 boxes just in case!
