From first contractions to delivery:
1st: 7hrs (with 20 min pushing) 2nd: 14hrs (with 5 min pushing) With both I have gone from 5cm to 10cm within 30 min though. It's just getting to 5 that takes awhile! Went into labor on my own with both, no inductions. Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum

Re: Labor Speed - How fast was your 1st vs 2nd, 3rd etc?
#1 was SROM and then 2hrs 45m of labor and he was here. We barely made it to the hospital and if I hadn't been trying not to push, he would have been here even faster (probably a freeway baby).
#2 was a HB. Also SROM, with an active labor of 1hr 5 min. I think ctx started an hour after my water broke, and we barely had time to fill the birth pool. I'd advise you to have your bag packed and in the car/by the door this time, so you can go right away

Re: Labor Speed - How fast was your 1st vs 2nd, 3rd etc?
1st - 56 hours posterior labor. No pitocin, but my midwife stripped my membranes twice and strongly encouraged a LOT of castor oil (2 bottles), blue/black cohosh, sex, pumping, walking, etc because I was 41 and 4, and she said she had to turn me over to an OB at 42 weeks. It ended in a cesarean.
2nd - 8 hours start to finish. No induction, med free hospital VBAC at 41 and 1.
