Knitting patterns for covers?

I'm thinking of knitting some covers to try out this summer. Wool in the Florida summer sounds a bit counter intuitive, but I've heard it's great for keeping baby cool and dry in the heat and humidity! Has anyone used a (preferably free) online pattern that they liked? There are quite a few out there, and I'd like to make one that I know has worked well for someone. Also, if you've used wool in summer before, I'd love to hear what you thought of it!

Re: Knitting patterns for covers?

I've used the curly purly soaker pattern, it's free on ravelry and not complicated. If I make it again I will add a drawstring to it though. Also like the Eviepants pattern (not free) because of the pattern for skirties, soakers, longies, capris, shorties, bloomers, and many cuff/finishing options. Also explains everything very well like grafting the gusset and shortrows.

Re: Knitting patterns for covers?

I found a wool wrap pattern when I was pregnant with DS2 that was really easy and I really liked. Our computer died since then though so I'm not sure if I can find it again. I'll try and report back if I do.

ETA: I think this is it:

Liz , wife to Mike and semi-crunchy mama to 4 little ones: Gehrig the minecrafter (04/08), Logan a.k.a. "Pigpen" (06/10), princess pumpkin Katie Rose (10/12), and chipmunk Lexi (06/14) I've been cloth diapering for 7 years straight!
